Get to the Top!?

i really wish i could answer this. i’m going through the same problem right now. my friends have all graduated, and the rest that haven’t seem to have a disliking of me.

anyways, i do the same things as you, i get nervous, wonder what people will think of me and stuff too.

what i do is start off by complimenting somebody. and dont just end after, ‘cool skateboard’ or whatever. ask them where they got it……without sounding like right after school you’re going to go and buy it! or if somebody is listening to their ipod, ask them what song they’re listening to. its also a good way to tell if they’re interested in talking to you. if they want you to shut up and go away, they’ll pretend like they didn’t hear you and you won’t feel like some kind of loser who just asked the stupidest question on earth (which some people can make it feel like, lol.) speak up in class discussions and stuff, if you don’t talk when you’re supposed to, people won’t expect you to talk outside of class either.

i hope that helped.

thoughts on the name…Priscilla?

I think it’s beautiful… i have an association w/ it.
I know this woman whom is like 90 years old… but she is so independent and classy… she’s going on a cruise next week!
I like it… it’s femine, classy and pretty… some think it’s old sounding b/c it is an older name, but it carries a certain uniqueness and class to it because of it…..and like the previous answer…you can nick name her cilla or prill…that’s too cute!

and btw…

go w/ your gut
I posted a question about my sons name before he was born… i wondered if i should name him Braylon or Bryson….
95% said Bryson….and i appreciated that b/c that’s what i asked… i wanted the opinion of others… but my gut said Braylon……and that’s his name AND reguardless of what others think, I am happy w/that decision ;-) you know…even if others don’t care for your choice, you wait until your little girl is born… it will grown on everyone and they’ll learn to like it, trust me!
Good luck hun– it’s hard

Pros and cons of brainwashing?

By aureliosolomon at 2008-07-05T13:27:31Z in General, 2 Comments. 194 words.

The positives (if you can call them that) are that you can encourage a specific type of behavior or thinking that best works within a group. If we brainwashed all children to contribute to society when they grew up, would that be a bad thing? Or participate in charitable causes?

The negatives are that it prevents people from thinking outside the box. It prevents free-thinking. It places the brainwashers in an unfair position of power. It places the brainwashees in an unfair position of weakness.

On a very subtle level, brainwashing happens all the time. Bootcamp for the military is an excellent example. The military needs people to conform to a specific set of norms in order for the military whole to function properly. Learn to follow orders, etc. Many religions (although they all deny it) use subtle forms of brainwashing. Believe as we do or you will be condemned to an eternity of hell fire. Hear that every Sunday for a few years, and you will probably be very inclined to believe it. There are other examples, but you get the idea.

Did you like Universal Studios Orlando or were you disappointed?

By aureliosolomon at 2008-07-04T13:27:08Z in General, 0 Comments. 143 words.

I enjoy going to Universal, but I definitely prefer Disney any day. The main thing that really disappoints me about Universal is how rude there employees are to there guests, not only that but how dirty they keep everything too. You’re paying more for less too compared to Disney, ticket prices are the same , but Universal can be finished in one day (including Island’s of Adventure), Disney takes at least a week to experience the main things. Well, I hope you and your son enjoy your trip, and have fun!!! Just don’t expect everything, that way your expectations won’t get shot down.

Not only what i said above but the other night my fiance and I tried to go see a movie and were rudely kicked out for being a certain ethnicity. (For the story click here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgQQJ0varIMmTaK67A6yW.nsy6IX?qid=20060619041405AAUBjRX )

VW Golf 1.8t mk4? Where exactly is engine number/chassis number located?

By aureliosolomon at 2008-07-03T13:23:42Z in General, 0 Comments. 173 words.

the chassis number should be in a number of places.
a- on the top front of the passenger side dash, which can be seen from looking into the car,
b- look in the spare wheel well and theres likely to be a data sticker.
c- the data sticker can also be found in the front page of your service book.
the chassis number as mention previously by another user is also scribed into the bulkhead.
mk4 golfs have a few known faults,
at the present time we are getting alot of cooling system radiators, they leak at the bottom corners alot,
the mk4 golfs that have a coil pack per cylinder tend to have the coil packs go alot.
air mass meters on mk4 golfs are “delicate” and tend to go alot,
the turbo hose clips are very weak and hose pop off when they want to
and vw know reccommend cambelt change every 4 years of 40′000 miles due to high number of failures
hope this helps, just email me if more info needed
